The Jelly Jar started when we discovered that we both have a
passion for gardening and cooking that started when we were little
girls. Together we've taken this family pastime to the next level in
our hope to continue doing what we love and to share it with as many
people as we can.
A note from Kay...
"I have always had a passion for growing, cooking and canning fruits
and vegetables. Growing up, my family had a large garden and we would
pick vegetables daily. Now that I have my own garden as well as many
fruit trees, my children and I spend time canning and preserving for
the winter months. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes
in the kitchen. I hope you enjoy them as a much as I do."
A note from Jane...
"As a child growing up in New Hampshire some of my fondest memories
are of the time spent picking berries and making jams with my
family. As a young child I went blueberry picking and could play in
the surrounding woods as soon as I filled a 6 oz juice can with
berries (come on ... I was little!). I treasure the memories of time
spent in the kitchen with my parents canning fruits and
vegetables. Each jar was filled with jam and a little bit of love."
